Dr. Greg Collins
Dr. Greg Collins is a specialist anaesthetist who completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Wollongong. Following his graduation, he commenced his postgraduate years as a junior doctor in regional New South Wales, gaining valuable clinical experience in Orange and Port Macquarie.
Dr. Collins undertook his specialist anaesthetic training at Nepean Hospital, where he developed a comprehensive foundation in perioperative care. He completed his fellowship at John Hunter Hospital, refining his ability to provide anaesthesia for complex elective and emergency procedures.
Based in Newcastle, Dr. Collins currently serves as a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at John Hunter Hospital, as well as a Visiting Medical Officer at Maitland Hospital. He maintains an active presence in private practice across the Hunter region. He maintains his clinical skills across the full breadth of anaesthetic sub-specialties, providing high-quality care for a diverse range of surgical procedures.
Outside of work, Dr. Collins has recently returned to playing hockey after a fifteen-year hiatus, reporting a successful and injury-free season thus far. Above all, he enjoys spending quality time with his family.
