Dr. Kylie Zhong
Dr. Kylie Zhong is a specialist anaesthetist in Newcastle. She completed her medical degree with the Universities of New England and Newcastle, before undertaking postgraduate training in anaesthesia across major hospitals in NSW, including Lismore and John Hunter Hospitals. Dr. Zhong has gained additional expertise in paediatrics through a fellowship in paediatric anaesthesia at the Hospital for Sick Children in Canada, as well as a postgraduate diploma of Child Health with the University of Sydney.
Dr. Zhong has worked in a wide variety of settings – from busy city hospitals to rural and remote communities – and brings this breadth of experience to her practice. She has a particular passion for paediatric anaesthesia and research, as well as improving access to high-quality healthcare for communities in need. Her other clinical interests include airway and ENT surgery, head and neck surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and regional anaesthesia.
Dr. Zhong is committed to making each patient’s experience as safe and comfortable as possible. Known for her calm, kind, and reassuring approach, she takes the time to support patients and families through every step of their care.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys the outdoors, roller skating, and a good dose of comedy.
